he “Tour the Shore Road Rally” accepts all years, makes and models of cars.  The rally will begin at 8:00 AM with a mini car show and light breakfast that will be held in Denton at the new Crouse Park Visitor and Heritage Center (3 Crouse Park Lane, Denton, MD 21629).  There will be a driver’s meeting at 9:30 followed by the first car out at 10:00. You will then proceed along scenic back roads through the towns and finish in Ridgely MD.  An official tour route book will be provided to the participants to guide them along the route.  It will also include historical and community information identifying interesting characteristics of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.  A commemorative dash plaque will be supplied along with stickers to identify the participating cars during the weekend.  Badge credentials will also be given to the driver and co-driver to be worn during the weekend.  Each participant will be awarded participation points which will enhance their score during the car show on Sunday.  The tour will begin at 10:00 AM and cars may go at their own pace, travel in packs or meander at will.  Several of the towns will have the opportunity to provide information regarding their historical significance and why these are the best places to live and to showcase local businesses and highlight things to do.  There will be  other stops of interest along the route. Some stops will provide bathroom facilities, drinks and a small historical narrative.The cost is $50.00 per vehicle and registration is now available online.
