Bishop Alexander Walker Wayman: Faith Freedom & Justice - From Tuckahoe to the World

Alexander Walker Wayman was the seventh Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. He was born in Tuckahoe Neck, Caroline County, Maryland, September 1821. This program is to celebrate his life and contributions to Caroline County's African American community, along with the at-large AME community. It will also address where we are today regarding racial justice. Rev. Thomas Fisher will give the Introduction.

Keynote speaker: Rev. Dr. Robert Turner. Panel discussion to follow with Henry Wayman, a descendent of one of Bishop Wayman's brothers; Rev. Dr. Turner, Rev. Thomas Fisher, and others; with Q&A. Dawn Wayman will be our moderator. Yolanda Acree will be creating a display about Bishop Wayman and the Wayman Family's genealogy. Caterer: Royal "T" Catering (Tyvon Horsey). Rev. Dr. Turner has a new book published.
